Deferred Dreams - For When Dreams Have To Wait!

Any DVC reservation secured with David’s Vacation Club Rentals after March 18, 2024 now qualifies for our new Deferred Dreams cancellation policy, to provide guests with some pixie dust and peace of mind when planning their dream Disney vacation.

This no-fuss policy allows guests to cancel their DVC points rental reservation and receive the Deferred Dreams Travel Credit, which offers the flexibility to reschedule the magic anytime within 3 years of cancellation!

How Do I ‘Defer the Dream’?

If your reservation was secured on or after March 18th, 2024, you can contact us by email on team@dvcrequest.com to let us know you would like to ‘defer the dream’ and cancel your booking. Our team of Vacation Coordinators will be in touch within 24 hours to guide you smoothly through the next steps!

What Is The Cancellation Schedule?

Due to the complexity of the point system, the value of your Deferred Dreams Travel Credit is determined by the below cancellation schedule;

Cancellation Approved Your Deferred Dreams Travel Credit
>120 days before check-in 100% of total reservation price
(minus $105.00 deposit)
120-61 days before check-in 75% of total reservation price
60-31 days before check-in 50% of total reservation price
30-15 days before check-in 25% of total reservation price
<15 days before check-in 0% - All Sales Final

What Does This Policy Cover?

The Deferred Dreams cancellation policy covers accommodations secured with us via point rentals only.

We strongly recommend all guests explore the possibility of taking out supplementary travel/trip cancellation insurance to protect other bookings you may have made (including but not limited to park tickets, flights, or dining plans that cannot be canceled in time) that are not covered by this Deferred Dreams cancellation policy.

Guests canceling within 14 days of their check-in date are not covered by the Deferred Dreams policy, so if you have taken out travel insurance/trip cancellation insurance and need to cancel within 14 days of arrival, please let us know.

What If I Booked Prior To The Deferred Dreams Policy?

Guests who secured their reservation prior to March 18, 2024 are still subject to the terms of their original Rental Agreement and our All Sales Final policy. Cancellations, modifications and refunds are not permitted. If you are unable to travel for your reservation and secured your stay prior to March 18, 2024, please contact our team for more information.
