Important Notices regarding Travel, Construction and Renovations at various Disney Vacation Club Resorts and Theme Parks:

Traffic Restrictions or Closures during runDisney Events

Ongoing Refurbishment at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn & Villas

Disney’s BoardWalk Inn and Villas is undergoing refurbishment. While most Resort amenities remain available throughout the refurbishment, you may be able to see and hear construction during daytime hours, and guests are advised to allow additional time for travel. No estimated completion date has been released by Disney at this time.

Ongoing Refurbishment and Construction at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is undergoing major refurbishment. Guests will be able to see and hear construction around the resort – including the lobby – during daytime hours. Most resort amenities will remain available, and guests are advised to allow additional time for travel. No estimated completion date has been released by Disney at this time.

Ongoing Construction and Refurbishment at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows

As Disney continues to prepare for the proposed expansion of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, guests will be able to see and hear construction at certain times of day. To minimize disruptions, activities that may create noise will not start earlier than 9:00 AM.

During 2024, exterior painting work will take place throughout Disney's Polynesian Village Resort & Bungalows, with Guest room balconies being affected. Guests may see and hear painting work during daytime hours. Refurbishment work is subject to change due to operational needs or weather conditions.

Ongoing Refurbishment at Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort

Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort will undergo refurbishment beginning in July 2023 to update several areas across the Resort. While most Resort amenities will remain available, Guests may see and hear refurbishment work during daytime hours. Guests are advised to please allow for additional travel time. No estimated completion date has been released by Disney at this time, and it is expected the refurbishment will continue into Spring 2024.

Beach Closure at Disney’s Vero Beach Resort

Due to the recent storms, Indian River County will be conducting a beach renourishment project beginning February 2024. The beach will remain closed while the county performs this important work - no estimated completion date has been released. The Vero Beach Feature Pool refurbishment has been paused in the interim, so the Feature Pool will be available for guests to enjoy.  Transportation will be provided for guests to experience other local beaches from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Planned Refurbishment for the Cabins at Copper Creek Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

Copper Creek Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge will be refurbished beginning April 2024. The cabins will be refurbished four at a time, and Disney Vacation Club guests will not be placed in cabins that are actively being refurbished. You may see and hear refurbishment work during daytime hours.

Stormalong Bay Pool Closure in 2025 at Disney’s Beach Club Villas

From January 2025 through May 2025, Stormalong Bay and Shipwreck Pool at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts will be closed for routine maintenance. Guests may see or hear construction work during daytime hours. The Tidal and Dunes Cove leisure pools will remain open and available during this time.

Transient Accommodations Tax at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa

For all stays at Aulani, the State of Hawaii and the Island of Oahu imposes a daily transient accommodations tax that is charged at check-out. More information can be found here; https://dvcrequest.com/information/dvc-resorts/11-aulani-a-disney-resort-spa-in-ko-olina

Transient Accommodations Tax at The Villas at Disneyland Hotel

For all stays at The Villas at Disneyland Hotel, the State of California imposes a daily transient accommodations tax that is charged at check-out. More information can be found here; https://dvcrequest.com/information/dvc-resorts/27-the-villas-at-disneyland-hotel

Walt Disney World has shifted from a 180-day booking window to a 60-day booking window for dining and experience bookings. This shift to a 60-day booking window is designed to allow Guests to make their plans closer to their visits.
