When To Book

Through late 2026, some areas of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows are being refurbished. This work includes the reconfiguration of the front entrance roadway. Additionally, some views of the theme parks and other surrounding areas may be impacted. Most Resort dining, pools and amenities will remain available.

Through late October, Trader Sam’s Tiki Terrace at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort will be temporarily closed due to refurbishment work at the Grand Ceremonial House.

While construction activity will be noticeable during daytime hours, efforts will be made to minimize disruptions. Please allow for extra travel time when arriving at or leaving the Resort.

From January 24, 2027, through January 30, 2027, Disney Skyliner will be closed for refurbishment. Complimentary bus service will be available.

Beginning Aug. 17, the lobby and nearby areas will undergo refurbishment in phases. The work is expected to be completed in early November. Closures will take place in phases:

— Aug. 17–Oct. 9: The main lobby and primary entrance will be closed. During this time, check-in will move to the Palace Library.

— Aug. 17–28: Johari Treasures will be closed. 

— Sept. 28–Oct. 9: The north side lobby corridor will be closed. During this time, the north side lobby elevators on the second floor and outdoor terrace observation deck will be unavail-able.

— Oct. 26–Nov. 6: The south side lobby corridor will be closed. During this time, Community Hall, Safari So Good Arcade, the laundry room, the Palace Library, lobby restrooms and out-door terrace observation deck will be unavailable.

Guests may see or hear construction activity in the lobby area during daytime hours, including periods of more noticeable noise, until the work is complete.

From May 2026 through January 2027, Guest rooms at Jambo House at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge will undergo refurbishment. During this time, Guests may see or hear construction work in the area. All amenities will remain available throughout the refurbishment.

Through late 2027, refurbishment work will occur in phases throughout select areas of Disney’s Contemporary Resort—including Bay Lake Tower and the Main Tower atrium. Additionally, Main Tower exterior maintenance may impact views from various locations throughout the Resort hotel and, at times, require alternate paths of travel. Guests may see or hear construction during daytime hours.

Disney’s Beach Club Resort is undergoing visible exterior maintenance through late 2027, which impacts views from various locations across the Resort hotel and—at times—requires alternate paths of travel. Guests may see or hear work in the area during daytime hours until the refurbishment is complete.

From August 3 through mid-September, the lobby at Disney's Beach Club Villas will undergo maintenance in phases. Portions of the lobby may be temporarily unavailable, and alternate paths of travel may be in place. Guests may see or hear construction activity in the area from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. until the work is complete.

From August 17-21, 2026, the FriendShip Boat dock at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resort will be closed for maintenance. During this closure, there will be direct bus transportation available from Disney’s Beach Club Resort to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Guests visiting EPCOT will be able to use walkways from Disney’s Beach Club Resort to the EPCOT International Gateway.

Now through late 2026, refurbishment work will take place in select areas of Disney’s Board-Walk Inn. While Guests may see or hear work during daytime hours, most Resort amenities—including dining, recreation, and merchandise locations—will remain available where select activities may be relocated to other locations throughout the Resort.

Beginning in late 2026, the Disney Vacation ClubVillas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will undergorefurbishments. Please allow for extra travel time. Guests may also see andhear construction during their stay.

Renovations at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa will continue in select areas, including the covered entrance, through early 2027.

As part of this work, from mid-July through October 2026, Grand Floridian Cafe will temporarily close for a refresh. During this time, brunch will continue to be offered but will temporarily move to Cítricos. All other dining locations at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa will remain available for Guests to enjoy. Guests may see or hear refurbishment work during daytime hours and may need to take alternate paths of travel.

Due to ongoing roadway improvement projects, guests arriving by car are asked to follow Grand Floridian directional signage and uilize Floridian Way to reach the entrance of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Please allow for additional travel and parking time to reach your destination.

Now through late September 2026, Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa will have areas under refurbishment, including the Treehouse Villas. Guests may see or hear construction activity during daytime hours. During the refurbishment, some areas will be temporarily closed:

The Turf Club Lounge: Closed early May – late August 2026 (The Turf Club Bar & Grill will remain open with a pop-up bar serving a modified menu.)

The Turf Club Bar & Grill: Closed late August – late September 2026 (The Turf Club Lounge will remain open.)

Additionally, Disney’s Lake Buena Vista Golf Course is temporarily closed for renovations through October. The Golf Shop will remain open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. During this time, Guests are welcome to enjoy Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course and Disney’s Palm Golf Course. Please be aware that Guests may see or hear work in the area during daytime hours, and views from some rooms overlooking the golf course may be impacted until the work is complete.)

From July 20 through early August, refurbishment work will take place along the Sassagoula River Cruise boat route. During this time, boat service to Disney Springs® will be temporarily unavailable. Please utilize Walt Disney World® bus service.

Through mid-September 2026, Hospitality House at Disney’s Old Key West Resort is undergo-ing exterior maintenance work. Guests may see or hear work during daytime hours and at times may be directed to take alternate paths of travel.

Additionally, Disney’s Lake Buena Vista Golf Course is temporarily closed for renovations through October 2026. Views from some rooms overlooking the golf course may be impacted until the work is complete.

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge are undergoing exterior refurbishment through late 2026. These enhancements may impact views from various locations throughout the Resort. While most amenities will remain available, Guests may see and hear construction work during daytime hours.

Beginning early May 2025, construction will take place near the Meadow Swimmin’ Pool area. The Meadow Swimmin’ Pool and Wilderness Swimmin’ Pool will remain open for your enjoyment, however, the nearby tennis courts, volleyball court and the Meadow Playground will be temporarily closed. Please note that Guests may see and hear construction in the area until the work is complete.

From September 2025 through March 2026, Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort will undergo exterior maintenance. The ongoing enhancements may impact views from several places within the resort, and guests may see and hear refurbishment work during daytime hours.

From January 11, 2027 to April 2027, the Luna Park Pool, the Luna Park Crazy Play Area, and Leaping Horse Libations at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn & Villas will be closed for routine maintenance. Guests may see and hear construction until the work is complete. The Villas Pool and the Inn Pool will remain open for Guests to enjoy.

Now through December 2026, exterior refurbishment work will take place at Disney’s Vero Beach Resort. During this time, Guests may see and hear construction work during daytime hours.

From early-May through late-August 2026, the Green Cabin Room Lounge at Disney’s Vero Beach Resort will close for a refresh. A temporary lounge space will be available in the SeaGrape Room, located just off the lobby. Additional food and beverage options are available at Wind & Waves Grill, Bar and Market. During this time, Guests may see and hear work during daytime hours.

From April 5 – May 7, 2027, the Waikolohe Stream lazy river and Tubestone Curl tube slide will be closed for maintenance.
