Pending approval from government officials, the phased reopening of Disney Vacation Club properties at Walt Disney World will begin to reopen on June 22. Disney's Vero Beach Resort and Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort will reopen on June 15.
Additionally, the phased reopening plans were submitted to reopen Magic Kingdom park and Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park on July 11, followed by Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios on July15.
Disney has announced that in an abundance of caution, the Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel will remain closed until further notice.
Upon reopening, theme parks, Disney Resort hotels, restaurants, attractions, experiences, and other offerings may be modified and will be limited in capacity and subject to limited availability or closure, based on direction from health experts and government officials to promote physical distancing.
Disney has also announced that in thebest interest of guests and Cast Members, Aulani, a Disney Vacation Club Resortin Ko Olina Hawaii, will remain closed until further notice.
At this time, Disney has temporarily paused new ticket sales to focus on guests with existing tickets and reservations. Existing ticket holders and AnnualPassholders will be able to make a theme park reservation before new tickets are sold. Theme park reservations will be limited due to attendance limitations and will be subject to availability.
In order to foster physical distancing, upon reopening, Disney's offerings, such as restaurants and behind the scenes tours and other experiences will be limited in capacity, and other experiences may remain closed. As a result of limited capacity, Disney has made the decision to cancel all existing dining reservations and experience bookings, including Disney dining plans, through the end of 2020. Disney will reopen dining and experience bookings with more limited numbers closer to when the parks reopen. Disney has also announced that WDW is shifting from a 180-day booking window to a 60-day booking window for dining and experience bookings as a way to allow Guests to make their plans closer to their visits.
As a result of the COVID-19 impact, Walt Disney World's FastPass+ service will be suspended for the time being as Disney plans to use additional queue space to manage capacity at attractions and maintain physical distancing. Disney will automatically cancel existing FastPass+ selections and share any future updates on the service at a later date. Also, please note that upon reopening, ExtraMagic Hours will be temporarily suspended.
- Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is undergoing a refresh and work will continue through Spring 2021. During this time, it's possible that you will see and hear construction taking place around the resort. Resort staff will attempt to limit any work most likely to cause a noise impact to the hours of 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This refurbishment is expected to be completed in early 2021.
